About us
Papi’s was born out of a whole life of restaurant work, a heap of love and care, and the luck of a phenomenal team and family. The owner, Marcos Valdes, spent seventeen years of restaurant work in Mexico, then another nineteen years of restaurant work in the US. Through this journey he developed not only a passion for the food, but also for a standard of service that goes beyond a customer relationship, and makes every single one of our guests family.
Marcos finds himself within a network of friends and family that have helped his dream of Papi's come true. Many of the recipes we use are directly from his mom, Mami Fran Campbell. She oftentimes pops in to help supervise the kitchen, making sure we keep the integrity of her special recipes, such as our Veracruzano Sauce and Mole, breaking out the wooden spoon if she has to!
Not only do we have an amazing selection of food, but also a handful of handcrafted traditional Mexican cocktails. We would like to think that our margaritas could beat out any others in town, being handcrafted by our servers every single day with love. Not only do we have the best margaritas, but we make a mean Michelada, a sensational Sangria, and a perfect Paloma! Ask our bartender or any one of our servers for recommendations.
